Qualche giorno fa l’ISTAT ci ricordava che il 48% delle giovani donne nel Sud Italia è disoccupata. Praticamente una su due. La crisi economica e la precarietà del lavoro (che è bene ricordarlo non è caduta dal cielo ma è il frutto malato di scelte legislative perverse che vengono da lontano, a partire dalla legge 30 del 2003, conosciuta come Legge Biagi) colpiscono donne ed uomini ovunque però in particolare le donne giovani al Sud d’Italia.
Questo dato che giudico molto preoccupante non gode a mio avviso della dovuta attenzione forse perché nel nostro Paese è ancora fortemente radicato il retro pensiero che in fondo le donne hanno già un lavoro sicuro: quello casalingo.
Alcune riflessioni sul problema (fra le quali anche quelle che abbiamo condiviso come IFE Italia) hanno indicato un elemento di preoccupazione, se non una tendenza vera e propria, che induce a tenere gli occhi ben aperti. Mi riferisco al fatto che le giovani donne, anche con un’istruzione universitaria, in assenza di un lavoro stabile che consenta di ottenere un salario dignitoso insieme al riconoscimento di un ruolo sociale potrebbero considerare possibile o peggio auspicabile il ritorno al lavoro casalingo nei ruoli, quelli si riconosciuti se non addirittura santificati, di moglie e madre.
Va in questa direzione anche la notizia che il parroco di Gragnano in provincia di Napoli , attraverso l’Arciconfraternita gragnanese, ripristina l’antica usanza del maritaggio cioè l’assegnazione di un contributo in denaro, tramite estrazione a sorte, a giovani donne che aspirano a sposarsi in chiesa ma non ne hanno la possibilità economica. Ricordo che lo scorso aprile una parrocchia del Veneto aveva fatto più o meno la stessa cosa relativamente in questo caso al mettere in mondo un figlio. Sono piccoli esempi che però possono costituire modelli di comportamento.
So bene che le donne, anche quelle giovani, hanno introiettato , grazie al femminismo, il valore dell’autodeterminazione economica tanto che come rivelano recentissime indagini ( cfr. Marco Centra, dell’Isfol , relazione presentata agli Stati Generali sul lavoro delle donne in Italia organizzato lo scorso febbraio dal CNEL) anche fra le donne “inattive”, cioè chi ha smesso di cercare un lavoro, la maggior parte si dice disponibile a lavorare se il lavoro ci fosse.
So altrettanto bene che la volontà di autodeterminarsi non è sufficiente in presenza di dinamiche sociali contrarie che incidono sulla materialità delle vita di ciascuna ed investono anche l’immaginario ed il simbolico. Le iniziative dei parroci, benchè legittime e coerenti, non sono solo casuali o dettati da spirito caritatevole.
E allora la domanda che pongo e mi pongo è la seguente: non è tempo che il femminismo , in una dimensione collettiva, sappia cogliere la sfida indicando, per uscire dalla crisi, vie alternative rispetto a quelle che sembrano essere le uniche possibili?

As Andrew has said, there is a fair amount of mandatory equipment for this race however, it is one of the few races of it’s calibre/distance that does not require a previous race qualification/time, hence the comprehensive list. I personally have a Camelbak Mule which retails for about $170 and comes with a 3L water bladder. The pack is quite good and robust as the material is fairly thick. It comfortably holds the mandatory equipment list for this race. I will be transitioning shortly to the Salomon xa20 pack as I find this pack to sit better on my back. The biggest reason for this transition is however weight. The Camelbak Mule is much heavier than the Salomon. Unfortunately, the Salomon does not come with a water bladder but according to reviews, the Deuter 3L bladder fits like a glove so I will personally be going with this particular setup in the New Year and for the north face store.
